La La Land has won the Oscar for Best Picture at the 89th Academy Awards. The film beat out other movies including Moonlight, Arrival, Hidden Figures, Manchester By the Sea, and more for the coveted accolade. It marks the fourth award for the Damien Chazelle-directed picture tonight—earlier in the evening it won awards for Best Cinematography and Best Production Design, while Chazelle took home Best Director. La La Land was nominated for 14 awards in total.
