University of Adelaide Names Music Institute After Sia

After finding her name back on the list of features for Kanye West's "Wolves" earlier this month, Sia will now be lending her name to something even bigger—a new music institute at the University of Adelaide in Australia. The Sia Furler Institute for Contemporary Music and Media will prepare students for careers in contemporary music, film and digital media, according to The Guardian. “I want to say thank you to the University of Adelaide,” she said, speaking from Los Angeles. “It’s very exciting and humbling.” Sia never studied at the university, but grew up in Adelaide. She gave the university permission to use her name. Her seventh album, This is Acting, came out earlier this year.
