The Weeknd is the musical guest on tonight's episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," and he's got a guest of his own: Lauryn Hill.
The Weeknd and Hill were supposed to perform together at the Grammys earlier this week. Prior to the show, however, Hill's reps announced that she was not able to make it to Los Angeles in time for the awards ceremony. Recording Academy President Neil Portnow disputed the claim, stating that Hill rehearsed but never returned for the broadcast. Hill's camp responded that she had never confirmed her appearance and was, in fact, upset that her potential performance was advertised as certain.
The Weeknd's having a busy month of TV appearances. He performed "Can't Feel My Face" and "In the Night" at the Grammys on Monday. On February 28, he will sing at the Oscars. He's also up for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards for "Earned It" from Fifty Shades of Grey.
