Grimes Plays Two Art Angels Songs Live for the First Time, Covers "Ave Maria"

Grimes stopped in Seoul, South Korea last Saturday night on her "Ac!d Reign" tour in support of last year's excellent Art Angels. During the show, she performed two tracks from the album live for the first time: "Flesh Without Blood" and "Butterfly." She also covered Franz Schubert's "Ave Maria," which she said "might be one of [her] all time favourite songs" in 2013, as Stereogum points out. Watch her performance (including the "Ave Maria" cover at 9:38 in the first video) below.

While out on tour last November, Grimes performed with Janelle Monàe. Earlier this month, Arbutus Records announced it would re-release Grimes' Geidi Primes, Halfaxa, and Darkbloom on vinyl. She also recently shared the video for Art Angels' "Kill V. Maim." Later this year, Grimes will open for Florence and the Machine on tour.
