Lavender Country recently announced that they would be embarking on their first tour in 40 years. Later, they expanded this tour-- and now, they've canceled it.



Lavender Country's self-titled 1973 LP is often cited as the first country album by an openly-gay artist, Patrick Haggerty. As Brooklyn Vegan points out, the band announced their tour cancellation with a Facebook post that read: "Sorry to all, there will be no tour at this time." The reason for the cancellation has not been identified.


Refunds will be issued to ticket holders. Check out the canceled tour dates below.
