Slowdive Play First Show in 20 Years: Video

The influential British shoegaze band Slowdive are the latest to hit the reunion circuit, with a number of festival dates confirmed for the summer (including Pitchfork Music Festival). Last night, they played their first show in 20 years at London's Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen, as Consequence of Sound reports. The show celebrated 10 years of the label Sonic Cathedral.

Now footage from the set has surfaced. Watch "When the Sun Hits" and "Machine Gun" from their 1993 classic Souvlaki, and 1990's "Slowdive", below. The set included material from all three of their albums, and also included their cover of Syd Barrett's "Golden Hair".
