Arcade Fire's 'Reflektor' Video Has Your Spooky Van, Disco Ball Man + Troll Doll Fix For The Week

Arcade Fire get spooky and dance-y in their video for "Reflektor."

Since Arcade Fire showed up in LCD Soundsystem's "Shut Up And Play The Hits" documentary, we knew that they were ready to ditch The Suburbs for the dance floor. With the help of former LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy, their new single does just that. Drawing on disco traditions from LCD to Donna Summer, "Reflektor" goes long -- seven minutes! -- and ambitious -- two videos!

For video No. 2, the band tapped director Anton Corbijn, who shot the band in black-and-white as they play in the back of a van wearing giant, um, Arcade Fire masks. And that's not even mentioning the guy in the mirror suit (Mr. Reflektor?) whose lumbering appearance turns the disco-ball vibes freaky. As it turns out, "Reflektor" might as well be the soundtrack to a horror movie, or at least a really short "Twilight Zone" episode.

The track gets eerier still with Win Butler and RĂ©gine Chassagne co-fronting the duet, singing each other's lines like a ghostly echo before making way for a third: David Bowie! Not enough? Stick around for the coffin dance party, the Troll dolls, and the bongo drums. Just a reflektor? Nah, more like the beginning of the year's most anticipated album this side of Lady Gaga's ARTPOP . G2G, checking Amazon Prime for disco balls. We'll talk later.
