Sufjan Stevens, the National’s Bryce Dessner, Nico Muhly, and drummer James McAlister have shared a new track, “Mercury,” from their forthcoming album Planetarium. Watch the lyric video below via Brooklyn Vegan. It marks the second song the group has released from their space-themed project, which is out June 9 via 4AD, after “Saturn.” The album will feature 17 tracks with titles that reference planets, stars, and more. Stevens is also preparing to release Carrie & Lowell Live, which arrives this Friday via Asthmatic Kitty. The National, meanwhile, will headline Pitchfork Music Festival Paris this year, and curate one day of the three-day festival.
