To mark the one-year anniversary of Lemonade, Beyoncé has announced a new scholarship program for young women studying creative arts, music, literature, or African-American studies. The four “Formation Scholars” awards, available for the 2017-2018 academic year, aim to “encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident,” a statement reads. The participating colleges are Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design, and Spelman College. Read the full statement at Bey’s website or below.
