Schoolboy Q has shared the video for his new song with Kanye West “THat Part.” For his part, Q raps among a crew of people with trippy visual effects. When West jumps in, he literally jumps around a house while rapping. For his second verse, West stops a school bus and raps in front of it. At the end of the video, a phone number (1-800-351-1132) flashes on the screen. When you call, you reach a voice mailbox that tells you, “Hello, Billy, it’s Top Dawg. Leave a message, I might call you back,” which is a reference to Kendrick Lamar’s now-iconic “Get Top on the phone!” line from untitled unmastered.’s “untitled 02 l 06.23.2014.” (West recalls Kendrick’s lyric at the end of “THat Part.”) Watch the video (and try giving Top a call!) below.
The video description says that Schoolboy Q’s next album–the follow-up to 2014’s Oxymoron–is out July 8. It reaffirms a recent tweet Q sent, indicating that’s the album release date. In April, Q shared the new song “Groovy Tony.”
