Tonight, the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences held the 45th annual Juno Awards in Calgary, AB. Drake, the Weeknd, Tobias Jesso Jr., the recently disbanded Majical Cloudz, Destroyer, Adele, and many more were nominated for this year's awards. See a list of highlights from this year's winners below. Last night, Arcade Fire's Regine Chassagne accepted the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award on behalf of the band at the Juno Awards Gala Dinner.
The Weeknd swept this year's awards, taking home Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Single of the Year for "Can't Feel My Face," and both Album of the Year and R&B/Soul Recording of the Year for Beauty Behind the Madness.
Drake won Rap Recording of the Year for If You're Reading This It's Too Late. Meanwhile, Adele got International Album of the Year for 25, Death From Above 1979 won Rock Album of the Year for The Physical World, and Justin Bieber's Purpose was awarded Pop Album of the Year. Braids also scored a win, getting Alternative Album of the Year for Deep in the Iris.
