Grimes Releases "Flesh Without Blood/Life in the Vivid Dream" Video, Announces Art Angels Details

Grimes has released the first video from her upcoming album Art Angels. In "Flesh Without Blood/Life in the Vivid Dream", she dances through a series of costume changes, including a Marie Antoinette outfit with a purple wig, angel wings and a pink cowboy hat, opaque white contact lenses, and tons of fake blood. Watch the video below. She's also announced a release date for Art Angels: November 6. Below, find the tracklist, which features a collaboration with Janelle Monáe.

"Flesh Without Blood/Life in the Vivid Dream" is divided into two parts, comprising two tracks on Art Angels. First, there's "Act I: Flesh, Without Blood", which encompasses everything from Grimes running around a basketball court in that Marie Antoinette getup to her jumping up and down on a bed covered in dollar bills and rose petals. "Act II: Life in the Vivid Dream" takes off from there at a slower tempo, with Grimes (stabbed with a knife and covered in blood) embarking on the next leg of her adventure.

According to the credits, the various characters that Grimes plays are called "LV., Roccoco Basilisk, Kill V. Maim, and Skreechy Bat". Her co-stars are listed as Eyeball Bambi, Equestrian Steve, and Tallulah Fontaine.

"Flesh Without Blood" was written, directed, edited, colored, and art-directed by Grimes. Mac Boucher, her brother, was the cinematographer and creative consultant. All outfits were styled by TURNER.
