Waxahatchee Cancels Tour Due to Health Issues

Waxahatchee is currently on tour supporting this year's Ivy Tripp. Katie Crutchfield previously announced a slew of European tour dates (many with Kurt Vile), to be followed by a Midwestern tour with Sleater-Kinney. Today, she's announced the cancellation of the European leg due to health issues.

"I'm very disappointed to announce that I will be unable to perform at the shows I have scheduled in Europe coming up," Crutchfield wrote on Facebook. "I've been having some health issues that are affecting my voice and have been put on strict and immediate vocal rest. I hate canceling shows and I'm hoping to make it up to everyone soon."

Kendrick Lamar Shares Wild "These Walls" Video

Kendrick Lamar has shared a video for his To Pimp a Butterfly track "These Walls". Subtitled "A Black Comedy" and directed by Colin Tilley, the video stars comedian Corey Holcolmb, opens at a jail and continues at a wild house party. There's also an interlude where Kendrick and Terry Crews dance to "Hit the Quan". Watch it below.

Digable Planets to Reunite for Seattle Show

Digable Planets, the influential hip-hop trip of Ishmael "Butterfly" Butler, Mary Ann "Ladybug Mecca" Vieira , and Craig "Doodlebug" Irving, have announced a reunion performance on December 30 at the Neptune Theatre in Seattle, as Consequence of Sound points out. The next night, New Year's Eve, Butler's other group, Shabazz Palaces, will play at the same venue.

Digable Planets originally broke up in 1995, briefly reunited in 2005, and last performed in 2011. In 2012, Butler was asked about whether they would perform again, and answered: "I think it's the end." (Back at the end of December, 2012, Digable Planets and Shabazz Palaces had also been scheduled to perform back-to-back shows at the Neptune, but Digable Planets canceled.)

Their 1994 LP Blowout Comb was reissued in 2013.

Killer Mike Teams With Blakheart Broadway for "Losing Control"

Blakheart Broadway are the California-based duo of Nikki Broadway – one half of production team the Beat Bullies (who have worked with Big Boi, Chamillionaire, and Nelly, among others) – and Boston rapper Mickey Blakheart. They've teamed up with old friend Killer Mike for a new track, "Losing Control". Watch the violent video, inspired by the 1978 film The Deer Hunter, below.

Iggy Pop, Grace Jones, Josh Homme, Slash, Lemmy, More in New Trailer for Silent Film Gutterdämmerung

Björn Tagemose's "loudest silent movie on Earth", Gutterdämmerung, will star Iggy Pop, Grace Jones, Henry Rollins, Josh Homme and his Eagles of Death Metal partner Jesse Hughes, Justice, Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister, Slayer’s Tom Araya, Mark Lanegan, Nina Hagen, Slash, and Volbeat.

Following a trailer released earlier this month, the film's producers have shared an extended teaser. It features many of the stars – Iggy, Jones, Homme, Slash, Lanegan, Hughes, Araya, and Rollins – touting the "loud and dark fairy tale," peppered with some footage. "If you don't like it, fuck off," Lemmy barks at one point. Check it out below.

Lauryn Hill Replaces D'Angelo at Fun Fun Fun Fest

As previously reported, Fun Fun Fun Fest returns November 6-8 to Austin. The lineup includes Jane’s Addiction (performing Ritual De Lo Habitual in full for the album's twentieth anniversary), a rare reunion show from Dag Nasty, CHVRCHES, Future Islands, Wu-Tang Clan, Chromeo, Schoolboy Q, Grimes, and more.

D'Angelo and the Vanguard were set to headline the festival's Orange Stage on November 8. Today, the Fun Fun Fun Fest organizers have announced that D'Angelo and his band have dropped out of the festival "due to illness." Lauryn Hill will perform in their stead.

Serengeti and "Workaholics" Star Anders Holm Release Album as Perfecto, Share "Giorgio" Video

Serengeti's 2014 album Kenny Dennis III featured a suite of skits with Anders Holm, aka Ders, star of Comedy Central show "Workaholics". Now, the pair have teamed with DJ Rafall as Perfecto. They just surprise-released their debut LP, You Can't Run from the Rhythm, via Joyful Noise. Find the tracklist and album cover below. It concludes with a 17-minute-long track called "The Labrador" that's referred to as Perfecto's "origin story."

Nine Inch Nails to Release Halo I-IV Vinyl Box Set

Record Store Day will once again celebrate Black Friday on November 27. The event's organizers have detailed a long list of exclusives, including a new vinyl box set from Nine Inch Nails titled Halo I-IV.

Halo I-IV is centered on Trent Reznor's seminal 1989 album Pretty Hate Machine, and collects four LPs: the original 12"s for "Down In It", "Head Like A Hole", and "Sin", plus Pretty Hate Machine in its original configuration. Find a complete tracklisting below.

The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach's the Arcs Launch "Inventors" Series With Dr. John / David Hidalgo 10"

The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach has another band called the Arcs, and on Record Store Day's Black Friday event (November 27), they'll release a new limited-edition 10". The six-song record is called The Arcs vs. The Inventors Vol. I, and it's coming via Nonesuch. It features Dr. John (whose album Locked Down was produced by Auerbach) and David Hidalgo of Los Lobos. It's being billed as the first in a series of collaborative releases from the Arcs. Find the tracklist and cover art below.

In a statement, Auerbach discussed the "Inventors" series:

Sometimes the best way to see into the future is to study the past. In this series we do both, collaborating with folks who have been in the game a long time but instead of rehashing old material, we collaborate on new works, explore new ideas and introduce each other to a different generational perspective. We'll continue in this series to track down our heroes and bug them until they agree to make some noise with us. Hopefully we learn a thing or two. Yours, Dreamily.

Action Bronson Undergoes Emergency Surgery

Last night, Action Bronson posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed, recovering from what he said was emergency surgery. "Well this Alaska trip turned into me having emergency surgery," he wrote on Instagram. Bronson was in Alaska filming an episode of "Fuck That's Delicious", his VICE-sponsored web food series.

Jarvis Cocker Visits the Zoo in Pilooski's Eerie "Completely Sun" Video

French DJ/producer Cédric Marszewski, aka Pilooski, recently enlisted Pulp's Jarvis Cocker for a spoken vocal on his track "Completely Sun". Now, Cocker has appeared in the track's video. Directed by Dodi El Sherbini, the eerie clip sees Cocker looking puzzled in the zoo, as footage of captive animals is cut with shots of urban life. Watch it below.

It's not the first time Cocker's teamed with Marszewski; in 2010, he sang on "Synchronize", a track by the DJ's production duo Discodeine.

Carrie Brownstein Discusses New Book on "Colbert"

This week, Sleater-Kinney's Carrie Brownstein released her new memoir Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl. She discussed the book with Stephen Colbert on last night's "The Late Show". They touched on the book's title ("hunger makes me hangry," joked Colbert), their appreciation of awkward situations, whether or not she's "cool," and how performing as a comedian compares to performing with Sleater-Kinney. Watch a clip below.

Brownstein also appeared in an extra, backstage skit, titled "Somber Grrrl". "Playing in Sleater-Kinney has been a great opportunity for me," she says in the clip, "but sometimes I feel like it prevented me from performing the kind of music I personally enjoy. That's why our hiatus was great: It gave me a chance to work on my favorite musical genre: traditional English folk ballads." Spoon, OutKast, Ariel Pink/Dev Hynes Announce Record Store Day Black Friday Exclusives

Record Store Day will once again celebrate Black Friday on November 27. A few records have already been announced (including that John Malkovich album). The long list of exclusives has arrived. Here are some of the highlights:

• Spoon will release a two-song 10" featuring their cover of the Cramps' "TV Set" and a rework of "Let Me Be Mine". It's a deluxe color disk in a spot gloss jacket.
• Ariel Pink's contributions to the Heaven Knows What soundtrack are coming on a pink ninja star-shaped 7". It includes a collaboration with Dev Hynes.
• OutKast's Stankonia is coming via double LP.
• Jay Electronica's "Exhibit A" and "Exhibit C" are coming on a picture disc featuring instrumental tracks.

Courtney Barnett Covers Archie Roach's "Charcoal Lane" With Paul Kelly

Australian singer/songwriter Archie Roach's debut solo album Charcoal Lane came out in 1990. On November 6, the 25th anniversary reissue is coming with additional cover versions. One is Charcoal Lane co-producer Paul Kelly singing the album's title track with Courtney Barnett. Listen above via The Guardian.

Billy Corgan Hosting Halloween Party at His Tea Shop

In case you hadn't heard, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has a tea shop north of Chicago in Highland Park. Previously, he hosted a long-form synthesizer concert there. He's throwing a Halloween party there on October 31, Stereogum reports. Guests will get their vintage, peel-apart portrait taken by "Count William Corgan" himself. Unfortunately, it appears that tickets have sold out.

Kanye West Shares Silent Yeezy Season 2 Film

Last month, Kanye West debuted his Yeezy Season 2 fashion line at New York Fashion Week. It was livestreamed to theaters around the world, and during the show, West unveiled a new track. Julia Holter Scoring Miles Teller Boxing Movie Bleed for This

Julia Holter will score Bleed for This, the upcoming boxing movie that stars Miles Teller and was executive produced by Martin Scorsese, as Film Music Reporter points out. The film, which was directed by Ben Younger (Boiler Room), tells the story of Vinny Pazienza, a real-life boxer who made a comeback after being severely injured in a car accident. It will be released in 2016, and also stars Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight), Katey Sagal ("Married... With Children", "Sons of Anarchy") Ciarán Hinds ("Game of Thrones").
