Big Sean Addresses Kid Cudi on New Song “No More Interviews”: Listen

Big Sean has shared a new song, “No More Interviews.” It’s produced by Amaire Johnson and Sean, and it’s out via G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam. Hear the new track, and see its artwork, below.

At one point on the new song, Sean raps, “Greatest rapper of all time, if you let Ye tell it.” He later acknowledges the ongoing beef surrounding Kid Cudi, Kanye West, and Drake. He raps:

Cudi and Ye, what happened to our family ways, though/When I put you on that song with Nas you had told me that you was forever grateful/And that we brothers/So it hurt to hit the internet to find out that me and you don’t fuck with each other over a miscommunication/That probably could be fixed with a five-minute conversation/I’m still praying/For you, though, I guess I’ll charge it to the game

The Cudi beef began when he called out West and Drake on Twitter. West ranted about Cudi at a show, but later apologized. Drake, however, continued dissing Cudi on a song called “Two Birds, One Stone.” West, it has been revealed, contributed to the track.

Earlier this year, Sean released a project with Jhené Aiko called Twenty88. He also appeared on the Kanye West posse cut “Champions. In 2015, Sean released his third LP, Dark Sky Paradise.

Radiohead Announce 2017 European Tour

After announcing a series of festival dates and confirming a headlining set at Glastonbury 2017, Radiohead have announced additional dates for 2017. The tour begins on June 7 and ends on July 5, and includes headlining shows in addition to festival dates. The run includes a pair of dates at Manchester Arena in the United Kingdom to close out the tour. Check out the full list of dates here.

Amy Winehouse Back to Black Covers Contest Announced

Island Records has announced a new Amy Winehouse covers contest to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of her iconic record Back to Black. Fans can download the original instrumentals for “Back to Black,” “Rehab,” “Tears Dry on Their Own,” and “Just Friends” (the former two produced by Mark Ronson, and the latter two by Salaam Remi), and then upload their renditions for a chance to record the cover professionally in a studio with Remi, who will also judge each entry. The winner will have their song premiered on Island Records’ YouTube channel. Below, watch a video of Salaam Remi explaining the contest, as well as new lyric videos for “Tears Dry on Their Own” and “Just Friends”. The instrumentals are available here.

Island Records and Vevo will donate all the funds from the Back to Black covers campaign to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, the charity created in Winehouse’s memory to help young people who are facing issues with homelessness, addiction, mental health, and more. Earlier this year, the Foundation opened a women-only recovery house in East London.

Watch Kid Cudi Dance With A$AP Rocky, Willow and Jaden Smith in New “Surfin’” Video

Kid Cudi has shared a new music video for “Surfin’,” his collaboration with Pharrell. You can watch it below. Jaden Smith and A$AP Rocky make cameo appearances. The new video follows the one Cudi released for his song “The Frequency.” Cudi was supposed to drop a new album this year, but it was delayed due to sample clearance issues. He recently checked himself into rehab for depression, assuring fans that he is working on getting better. Cudi was recently embroiled in a feud with Drake after the Canadian rapper dissed him on a new song.

Touring the U.S. Just Got 42% More Expensive for Foreign Bands

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently announced a series of fee increases for immigration applications and petitions. One of those increases applies to petitions for nonimmigrant workers, which are required for musicians, artists, actors, athletes, and others who travel to the United States to work. On December 23, the fee for Form I-129, the Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, will go from $325 USD per person to $460 USD per person. That means it will be 42% more expensive for foreign musicians and their teams to work or tour in the United States. The fee applies for every person entering into the United States to perform or work as part of an artist’s crew (tour managers, roadies, etc).

The Canadian Federation of Musicians (CFM) has responded to the increase, as Billboard reports: “A fee surge of this kind adds an additional and unacceptable financial burden on our members,” said executive director Liana White.

Listen to a 16-Minute Clip From The Secret History of Twin Peaks

“Twin Peaks” co-creator Mark Frost recently released The Secret History of Twin Peaks, a sequel-of-sorts to the iconic television series that includes character details and other plot points that have gone unaddressed since the show ended in 1991. The new book has gotten an audiobook release, featuring the voices of original cast members Michael Horse, Russ Tamblyn, and Kyle MacLachlan. Listen to a 16-minute snippet from the audiobook below, which delves into the story of Josie Packard, as Dazed points out.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that the new season of “Twin Peaks” would include appearances by Trent Reznor, Sky Ferreira, Eddie Vedder, and more. The new season is slated to premiere on Showtime early next year. Sky Ferreira recently performed the show’s theme, “Falling,” alongside Angelo Badalamenti and Julee Cruise at David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption in Los Angeles.

Morrissey and Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister Are Beefing

Morrissey has written a new letter to Barnaby Joyce, Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources, decrying the country’s livestock export industry and asking him to shut it down. And Joyce has quickly responded. “If meat is murder, live export is the slow boat to hell,” the letter reads. “Please pave the way towards a kinder future by putting the live-export industry out of its misery immediately.” Find the full letter here, via PETA.

Gorillaz's Murdoc Says Oasis Better Than Blur in New Interview

Earlier this month, Gorillaz revealed what cartoon bassist Murdoc Niccals has been up to in “The Book of Murdoc,” the latest in the group’s series of visual backstories of bandmembers. Now, Murdoc has offered further insight on subjects ranging from politics and Brexit to Blur vs. Oasis, in a new interview with Noisey. 

During the conversation, Murdoc relives his early years growing up in England, from a “seminal” school performance of “Wheels on the Bus,” aged 6, to his first kiss, with a “bare-knuckle boxing champion” at a silage plant. He then paid tribute to Ringo Starr—because “while everyone else was coked out of their minds in the eighties, he did his career’s finest work on Thomas the Tank Engine”—before saying the Beatles are better than the Stones, and Oasis are better than Blur. Asked whether he voted to remain in the EU, Murdoc replied, “Why would I leave somewhere so great? Did you know Lithuania ranked number one in the world for internet upload and download speeds? Imagine what you could stream with that.”

Bowie Drummer Turned Down Lady Gaga Grammys Tribute: "No, Fuck Off, That’s Stupid"

David Bowie’s former drummer Mick “Woody” Woodmansey has taken aim at the Grammys’ tribute to Bowie in a new interview with NME. Woodmansey, who played in the Spiders From Mars between 1970 and 1973, said he and Tony Visconti turned down an invite to partake in the performance, which Lady Gaga fronted alongside Nile Rodgers, because the idea seemed “tacky.”

“We looked at it and it was going to be like 14 or 15 songs in the space of four minutes,” Woodmansey said, “and we just went ‘no, fuck off, that’s stupid, that’s not going to represent anything good about him.’” He went on, “It was just, ‘why are you doing it?’ If there’s a genuine heartfelt thing that you wanna do out of respect, then you’d probably pull it off, but if there’s any other reason, it just gets tacky, and obviously you can’t stop that, they have a right to do it as they want to do it, but it doesn’t help a lot, it doesn’t do a lot.” 

Woodmansey wasn’t the performance’s first detractor—most notably, Bowie's son, Duncan Jones, appeared to diss it on Twitter, prompting Rodgers to speak up in defense.

The Weeknd Announces Tour

The Weeknd has announced a new tour in support of his upcoming album Starboy. His Starboy: Legend of the Fall 2017 World Tour will kick off in Europe next February before a string of North American dates from April through June. Starboy arrives November 25 via Republic. Win Butler: “Fuck British Petroleum”

During Arcade Fire’s headlining performance at Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans tonight, frontman Win Butler took a moment to address the crowd in between songs. “Whatever BP paid the state of Louisiana wasn’t a tenth of what it should have been,” he said. “Fuck British Petroleum.”

Butler’s comments were in reference to the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion and subsequent oil spill in 2010, roughly 41 miles away from the Louisiana shore. Damage from the oil spill endangered Louisiana plant and wildlife, as well as the population; the incident has been called “the biggest public health crisis from a chemical poisoning in the history of this country.” Last year, Louisiana was awarded $5 billion in a settlement by BP to help restore the vast amounts of natural resources damaged and lost in the oil spill.

Eddie Vedder sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” at Wrigley Field for Game 5 of the World Series. Find video of that below. Vedder’s rendition of the seventh inning stretch classic follows up Bill Murray’s Game 3 performance. At the end of his performance, Vedder paid tribute to retiring catcher David Ross aka “Grandpa Rossy.” Earlier in the night, singer Wayne Messmer performed the national anthem.

Watch Arcade Fire’s Voodoo Fest Live Stream Here

Tonight, Arcade Fire is performing a headlining set at New Orlean’s Voodoo Music + Arts Experience. They are set to take the stage at 8:30 CT. Watch the live stream on the Voodoo website here.

Tonight’s set is one of a handful of shows Arcade Fire has played this year. In July, they completed their first full-band set in two years at Razzmatazz in Barcelona. Earlier in the year, the band paid tribute to David Bowie with an impromptu parade at New York’s Panorama, and covered Bruce Springsteen songs at WayHome fest.
