Liam Gallagher is gearing up to release his solo debut, As You Were, and tonight he performed new music from that album during his show at Manchester’s O2 Ritz. Proceeds from the concert went to a fund benefitting victims of last week’s bombing at Manchester Arena. The solo show was a first for Gallagher, who did forthcoming single “Wall of Glass” and several other new songs. (The titles in the videos below are unconfirmed.) He also played several Oasis hits, including an a cappella version of “Live Forever” from the band’s 1994 debut, Definitely Maybe. He further surprised the audience by bringing out Oasis guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs for “Be Here Now,” according to NME. Watch footage below.
In August, Gallagher will perform his first solo North American show at the Osheaga Festival in Montreal. Revisit Pitchfork’s “Oasis Doc Supersonic Knows What You Want Is Gallagher Brothers Chaos.”
