Quentin Tarantino’s classic crime film Reservoir Dogs is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its release this year, with the director and all the actors from the film (Tim Roth, Harvey Keitel, Steve Buscemi, et. al) recently reuniting at a screening at the Beacon Theater in New York City during the Tribeca Film Festival. After the film, Tarantino revealed that Tom Waits auditioned to be one of the crew of gangsters featured in the movie. “A lot of really wild people came in and read the parts. Tom Waits came in and read,” he said. “I had Tom Waits read the Madonna speech, just so I could hear Tom Waits say those lines.” Waits has been appearing in films since the late 1970s; his latest feature film role, Seven Psychopaths, was in 2012.
