As promised, Haim have shared their new song, “Want You Back.” It’s produced by Ariel Rechtshaid and premiered on MistaJam’s BBC Radio 1 show. Listen below. “Want You Back” is the second track Haim have shared from their forthcoming sophomore album Something to Tell You. It follows the live version of “Right Now,” which came with a music video directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The new record (the follow-up to their stellar 2013 debut Days Are Gone) is out July 7 (via Columbia). Danielle, Este, and Alana Haim are set to perform on “Saturday Night Live” on May 13.
In other Haim news, in an interview with Rolling Stone, the band revealed that they initially wrote one of the new LP’s tracks, “Little of Your Love,” for the 2015 Amy Schumer film Trainwreck. It’s also stated that U2 recently invited Haim to their Malibu studio “to toss around ideas for new music.” (In July 2016, U2 shared a photo of a studio visit with Haim and Rechtshaid.) Lastly, it’s revealed that Dev Hynes (aka Blood Orange) worked on the record. Find the full interview here.
