LCD Soundsystem will make their “Saturday Night Live” debut this weekend. In a recent promo clip, the band’s This Is Happening track “Dance Yrself Clean” played while host Chris Pine wreaked havoc around 30 Rock with Kate McKinnon. Now, in a new set of promos James Murphy and Kenan Thompson make jokes at Pine’s expense. When Murphy discovers Kenan isn’t the host, he abandons the show, prompting Pine to call out to “Mr. Soundsystem.” Watch it go down below. LCD Soundsystem recently announced the release of two new songs—“Call the Police” and “American Dream.” Both songs are due out at midnight tonight. James Murphy also announced that the band’s long-awaited new album is “seriously almost done” and confirmed that they would be playing new music on “SNL.”
