Johnny Jewel has scored the upcoming film, Don’t Come Back From the Moon. The indie drama marks the directorial debut from Bruce Thierry Cheung, and it stars James Franco, Rashida Jones, and Jeffrey Wahlberg. The film—which takes place in a small town that becomes a “desolate and dreamlike world” as men keep mysteriously disappearing—is set to premiere later this year at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Jewel’s work on the film follows his recent contributions to the “Twin Peaks” revival on Showtime: at the end of the two-hour premiere, Chromatics performed the song “Shadow.” The band also provided music for the show’s upcoming soundtrack albums, due September 8 via Rhino. Earlier this month, Jewel released the new album Windswept, featuring unreleased material and music from “Twin Peaks.”

The movie is gorgeous and tells the story of the children of migrant workers who are left abandoned in a small desert town by the Salton Sea http://pic.twitter.com/N7LXtq71Bq
