In 1994, critic Simon Reynolds coined the term post-rock. A new book called fearless.: The Making of Post-Rock by Jeanette Leech chronicles the subgenre and its groundbreaking artists like Slint, Talk Talk, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. fearless. “explores how the strands of post-rock entwined, frayed, and created one of the most diverse bodies of music ever to huddle under one name,” according to a press release. Black Emperor, Mogwai, Tortoise, Stereolab, AR Kane, Disco Inferno, Fridge, Codeine, UT, and more. The 392-page book is out June 6 via Jawbone Press.
