In 2015, Mac DeMarco started a fan club. It’s run by Mac, his mother Agnes, and his manager Michelle Cable. Now, he’s looking to add another person to the team (as Stereogum points out). There’s a new listing on his site for a Fan Club assistant. The requirements are pretty standard (experience with MailChimp, WordPress, and iMovie, as well as “Great attention to detail”), but the application process is a bit more fun. In order to be the Mac Fan Club assistant, you must submit a cover letter, a résumé, and “your dankest Mac meme or Mac related gif.” Check out the listing here.
Mac DeMarco recently performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. His new record, This Old Dog, is out May 5 via Captured Tracks. So far, he’s shared the tracks “This Old Dog,” “My Old Man,” and “On the Level.” He also did “Dreams From Yesterday” and “Moonlight on the River” during a live session on KCRW. Find his upcoming tour dates here.
