The handwritten journals of Jeff Buckley will be published for the first time in a new book titled Jeff Buckley: His Own Voice, as Rolling Stone reports. It’s due out in spring 2019 and will feature letters, lyrics, and photographs from Buckley. His Own Words will be compiled and edited by Buckley’s mother Mary Guibert and writer David Fricke. “In choosing these pages to share with the world, I’m giving him the chance to speak with his own voice, for the record... and for his fans to see what a sweet, funny, amazing human being he was,” Guibert said in a statement. An audiobook edition of His Own Voice will feature unreleased recordings, including Buckley’s outgoing voicemail message and his list of “100 things to do.” According to Rolling Stone, another set of archival studio material, following last year’s You & I, is also due for release from the Buckley estate.
