Father John Misty Talks Fleet Foxes, Lana, Beyoncé, Kanye, More in Twitter Q&A

This morning, Father John Misty released three new songs (all titled “Generic Pop Song”). He also made an unexpected return to Twitter after leaving social media (except for Facebook and Snapchat) late last year. Throughout the day, he’s been answering fans’ questions on a multitude of topics. He offered opinions on Lana Del Rey (“a fucking genius”), his favorite Beyoncé song (perhaps unsurprisingly, “Hold Up,” which he co-wrote), his favorite Kanye song (“Blood on the Leaves”), his feelings about Ariana Grande (“I fucking love her”), and what he thinks of the new Sampha album (“fucking sublime”). He also revealed, maybe jokingly, that he’s never heard Frank Ocean’s Blonde or anything by the National, and that he only heard  When asked what he thinks about Fleet Foxes’ new single “Third of May / Ōdaigahara,” he responded, “made me cry honest to god.” Find those and some more highlights below.
