Chance the Rapper has announced his second press conference of the month. At the first, which took place at Chicago’s Westcott Elementary School, he announced a $1 million donation to Chicago Public Schools—an act that earned praise from CPS students, as well as Michelle Obama. Now, at 2:30 p.m. Central today, Chance “will make a major announcement about his efforts to support Chicago Public Schools,” according to a press release. The press conference will take place at the city’s Paul Robeson High School, and streamed live on his Instagram.
Since the first press conference, Chance has issued a call for an intern. Earlier this week, he tweeted, “I’m looking for an intern, someone with experience in putting together decks and writing proposals,” later clarifying, “I want intern résumés formatted as creative decks, pitches or proposals.” See those tweets below.
Chance’s initial press conference followed his meeting with Illinois governor Bruce Rauner. Speaking with the press immediately afterward, he said Gov. Rauner “gave [him] a lot of vague answers, so we’ll see what happens.” At the Westcott press conference he shouted, “Gov. Rauner, do your job!”
