Kanye West is set to debut his Yeezy Season 5 fashion line on February 15 during New York Fashion Week. As was the case with past shows, Yeezy Season is not listed on NYFW’s schedule. In fact, another show is currently listed during Yeezy’s 5 p.m. time slot. According to Women’s Wear Daily, West’s presentation is absent because he did not consult with the Council of Fashion Designers of America—which coordinates the schedule—about its timing. In a statement, CFDA president/CEO Steven Kolb said, “Not going through the proper channels is disruptive to the whole week and unfair to designers who have secured spots through the formal procedure.” He added, “This bad behavior is not acceptable to the CFDA and should not be tolerated by the industry.” Read the full statement here.
