On the heels of his Grammy-nominated hit single with Lil Yachty, “Broccoli,” D.R.A.M. has teamed up with PETA for a new broccoli-inspired ad encouraging people to eat more vegetables. Watch the ad below (via Billboard). In the video, D.R.A.M. tries to explain to his friends that he got that “green” from his “plug at the farmer’s market, of all places.” They think he means weed until he reveals it’s actually broccoli. A tagline colored in a leafy green then appears in bold telling viewers “eat your veggies.”
D.R.A.M. is the latest in a long line of musicians to team up with PETA. In August, the Smiths released an online video game called “The Beautiful Creature Must Die,” based on the band’s 1985 song “Meat Is Murder.” Waka Flocka Flame and Kid Ink are among the rap artists that have partnered with the cause.
