Last night, a fire broke out at a warehouse party in Oakland, California, where Los Angeles-based electronic label 100% Silk was holding a show. Golden Donna, Cherushii, Nackt, and more were on the bill. According to the East Bay Times, the fire broke out around 11:30 p.m. PST. with “30 to 70” concertgoers inside the building when the fire began. Fire officials say at least nine people have died as a result of the fire; several attendees have been taken to the hospital according to reports from the party’s Facebook event. As of 4 a.m. PST, the fire “had not been officially declared under control,” with fire crews planning to remain “on scene for several more hours” according to the Oakland fire department’s Twitter account. Pitchfork has reached out to representatives for 100% Silk for comment.
