Run the Jewels have released RTJ3, their highly anticipated third album, three weeks ahead of its originally slated January 13 release date. Stream the whole thing below. The album includes previously released singles “Legend Has It,“ “2100,” “Talk to Me,” and “Panther Like a Panther (I’m the Shit).”
Run the Jewels have also shared a clip of their appearance from the upcoming season of “Portlandia.” In the sketch, a pair of music industry executives (played by Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, natch) sit El-P and Killer Mike down to discuss ideas for their next album rollout (including a surprise album drop). Other potential strategies include faking El-P’s death, sending a baby down a well, and more. Watch the skit below.
RTJ3 is the follow-up to RTJ2, Pitchfork’s number one album of 2014. The North American physical release for RTJ3 is still set for January 13, with the international physical release set for January 20. In 2017, Run the Jewels will embark on the “Run the World” tour.
