Low, Melvins, and Los Campesinos! have all shared new Christmas songs. Low’s song is called “Some Hearts (at Christmas Time),” and it arrives right before the band’s upcoming tour, where they’ll play songs from their 1999 Christmas EP. Listen to it below. In a press release, the members of Low added this message about the song: “To friends who have moved away and friends who have passed on this year. To one and all, especially those who are alone, we wish you a Merry Christmas and new hope for the new year. May we all find ways to lift each other.”
Melvins and Los Campesinos!’ songs are for Amazon’s “Indie for the Holidays” playlist (out tomorrow). Below, you can listen to Melvins’ cover of “Carol of the Bells,” and Los Campesinos!’ “When Christmas Comes.”
Earlier this year, Melvins released Basses Loaded, and Los Campesinos! announced a new album Sick Scenes, with the new song “I Broke Up in Amarante.” Low’s last album was 2015’s Ones and Sixes. In 2014, Los Campesinos! released a Christmas album called A Los Campesinos! Christmas EP.
