Burial: Young Death / Nightmarket [Hyperdub]
On Black Friday, a Toronto record shop “accidentally” sold a new Burial 12” vinyl. Two days later, Hyperdub released the EP digitally. The tracks are Burial’s first solo cuts since 2015’s “Temple Sleeper.”

Childish Gambino: “Awaken, My Love!” [Glassnote]
On the heels of his success as creator, co-writer, producer, and star of the FX series “Atlanta,” Donald Glover has released his third album as Childish Gambino. “Awaken, My Love!” follows the 2013 album Because the Internet, as well as 2014 mixtapes STN MTN and Kauai. Various Artists: The Hamilton Mixtape [Atlantic]
Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda and the Roots’ Questlove have curated a mixtape of new versions of songs from the musical. It features Chance the Rapper, Nas, Sia, Miguel, Ashanti, the Roots, Queen Latifah, Wiz Khalifa, Regina Spektor, and many others across its 23 tracks.

Mica Levi: Jackie OST [Milan]
Mica Levi (of Micachu and the Shapes) has scored the new biopic Jackie about First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. The film stars Natalie Portman in the title role, as she deals with the aftermath of her husband’s assassination in 1963.
