Watch Wilco Perform in a Museum Workshop in New “Take Away Show”

Wilco has filmed a new “Take Away Show” session for La Blogothèque and Le Guess Who?. Directed by Hugo Jouxtel, the performance features the band playing songs from 2016’s Schmilco at the Museum Speelklok’s restoration studio in Utrecht, the Netherlands. It was recorded during Wilco’s appearance at this year’s Le Guess Who? festival, which the band co-curated. Below, you can find video of the band playing “Normal American Kids” and “If I Ever Was A Child.”

According to a press release, the location where the set was filmed is “the workshop dedicated to the upkeep and repair of the museum’s impressive collection of self-playing musical instruments, ensuring that this unique craft will be passed on from one generation to the next.”

In 2010, the band shared their first “Take Away Show,” which recorded a performance of “Country Disappeared” from Wilco (The Album). Last month, the band released a new music video for Schmilco’s “Someone to Lose.”
