Last night, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” put on a special episode with Bono’s (RED) organization, in an effort to assist the nonprofit in its fight against AIDS. There were a number of celebrity guests, including the Killers’ Brandon Flowers, DJ Khaled, Halsey, Kristen Bell, Channing Tatum, Neil Patrick Harris, and Julia Roberts. At one point, Kimmel gathered the gang to sing a song about being rich and going to hell if they don’t help people who are suffering from AIDS. Appropriately, the song is called “We’re Going to Hell.” For the number, Bono dressed as his ’90s alter ego MacPhisto.
In another segment, Bono and Halsey sang a duet (accompanied by Herbie Hancock on piano) about 2016’s craziest moments. Among their references points is Beyoncé’s Lemonade (the “Hold Up” video, in particular). Below, watch the musical performances, as well as interviews with DJ Khaled and Bono. Check out the whole “Jimmy Kimmel Live” special here (with a cable subscription).
