Lil Wayne has fired his publicists following a controversial interview on ABC’s “Nightline,” where he distanced himself from the Black Lives Matter movement, TMZ reports. His camp reportedly sent many emails to ABC, asking the network not to air the interview, but did not receive a response. They have alleged that interviewer Linsey Davis asked questions that were not “pre-approved,” but ABC News has told TMZ that “nothing was off limits.”
Earlier this week, Wayne apologized for his recent comments, telling TMZ, “Apologies to anyone who was offended.” He blamed Davis, however, for asking questions about his daughter that threw him off. Yesterday, Vic Mensa criticized Wayne, calling his position “selfish” and “ignorant.”
