In July, Alton Sterling, a 37-year-old black man, was killed in an incident with Baton Rouge police officers outside of a convenience store. Today, the family’s lawyer, Justin Bamberg has shared a photo on his Twitter showing Sterling’s eldest son, Cameron, backstage at a Kanye West concert. Cameron attended the concert for his 16th birthday. Find a photo of him posing with Kim and Kanye below.
Following Alton Sterling’s death, Chance the Rapper, Drake, Questlove, Blood Orange, Killer Mike, Shamir, the Game, John Legend, and more offered their thoughts on the shooting. Drake shared an open letter on his Instagram sending his condolences to the Sterling family, and calling for an “open honest dialogue” about “the relationship between black and brown communities and law enforcement.”
