Last night, the Chicago Cubs won their first World Series since 1908, ending a historically long and devastating drought. Needless to say, people were happy. Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder had sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” at Wrigley Field during Game 5, and he was on the field in Cleveland after the game to celebrate. Bill Murray, who sang during Game 3, was in the locker room with the team, popping champagne and interview Cubs president Theo Epstein.
Others took in the Cubs’ win from afar. Below, see reactions from Vedder, Murray, Chance the Rapper (a White Sox fan, who’s been pulling for the Cubs), and the Mountain Goats’ John Darnielle (who wrote “Cubs in Five” in 1995).
