Belle and Sebastian have opened a casting call, searching for fans to grace the covers of new vinyl EPs. In a note on the band’s website, frontman Stuart Murdoch writes, “We’ve been recording music, and it comes to the point where we’re starting to think of artwork. I’m thinking this might be a series of vinyl EPs.” Murdoch will take the photos himself, and would like about 50 volunteers as “a representation of the population.” If interested, shoot an email to info@belleandsebastian.com with the subject line “HEADSHOT.” Read Murdoch’s full note here.
Belle and Sebastian’s last studio album, Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, came out in January 2015. Earlier this year, they released a box set called The Jeepster Singles Collection. They also shared an unofficial theme song for the 2016 Rio Olympics called “Olympic Village, 6am.”
