5 Albums Out Today You Should Listen to Now: The Weeknd, YG, Mica Levi and Oliver Coates, More

With so much good music being released all the time, it can be hard to determine what to listen to first. Every week, Pitchfork offers a run-down of significant new releases available on streaming services. This week’s batch includes new albums from the Weeknd, Kate Bush, YG, Mica Levi and Oliver Coates, Dungen, Gucci Mane and Lil Uzi Vert, and XL Recordings.

The Weeknd: Starboy [XO/Republic]

Starboy is the Weeknd’s follow-up to 2015’s Beauty Behind the Madness. The album’s title is a tribute to David Bowie’s “Starman.” It features Daft Punk, Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey, and Future. Watch the videos for the title track and “False Alarm.”

Dungen: Häxan [Mexican Summer]

Dungen’s new album Häxan was inspired by their work on an original score to Lotte Reiniger’s 1926 film The Adventures of Prince Achmed. The film is believed to be the oldest surviving full-length animated feature film. The record follows 2015’s Allas Sak.
