Gorillaz Share Mysterious Multimedia Story “The Book of Noodle”: Watch

Gorillaz have been making good use of their social media accounts recently. After joining Instagram earlier this year. The Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett-led band posted a full timeline of their career, and now they’ve shared a new multimedia story called “The Book of Noodle.” It follows cartoon guitarist Noodle in her days following “the attack on Plastic Beach,” and tells the story through text and animated video. In the narrative, Noodle has to defeat a shapeshifter named Mazuu; of course, the narrator notes, “finding a shapeshifter is like looking for a beard at an Arcade Fire concert.” Check out the full thing below.

Gorillaz appear to be gearing up for a new album. Studio footage of Albarn and Hewlett surfaced this past spring, and Snoop Dogg and De La Soul have been confirmed as collaborators for the new project.
