Last night, the Philadelphia 76ers played their season opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Wells Fargo Center. Sevyn Streeter was slated to sing the national anthem and Desiigner was booked to provide the game’s halftime entertainment, but neither performance turned out as expected. Desiigner’s performance of his New English hit “Panda” was heavily booed by the crowd. You can find video of that below, via XXL. Earlier in the night, minutes before she was set to perform, the 76ers reportedly asked Streeter not to sing the anthem because she was wearing a “We Matter” jersey, according to the Associated Press. She shared a video on her Twitter account shortly after she was asked not to sing. You can find that below.
