Vince Staples has shared a short film to accompany his very good new EP Prima Donna. Directed by Nabil, Prima Donna begins with Staples shooting a music video for the closing track “Big Time” (produced by James Blake). He leaves the set and gets in a cab, and the EP’s “Smile” begins to play as he rides through ominous streets. The driver eventually drops him off at a parking garage where he enters an elevator and the title track (featuring A$AP Rocky) plays. That elevator brings him to a hotel. He then goes up to his room, where fans hoard him and Staples raps “War Ready” (also produced by Blake). The scene cuts abruptly and Staples wakes up in a field, rapping “Loco.” It ends with Staples singing “Let It Shine” and shooting a mirror; he ends up in a pool of blood.
