Last year, Faith No More released Sol Invictus, their first new album since 1997's Album of the Year. Now, they’ve shared a new video for the song “Cone of Shame.” Watch it below. Directed by Goce Cvetanovski, the video is a revenge thriller that makes good on the track’s title. “Cone of Shame” will be released as a limited edition 7” on November 25.
Bassist Bill Gould opened up about the video in a press release:
“This is one of those tracks that had to be a video, really, because it lends itself so much to visual imagery. Given the song’s sense of Americana, it would have been easy to shoot this in Arizona or New Mexico, but having been to Macedonia several times, there’s a vibe there that I felt wouldn’t be out of place as a backdrop to this song. Goce Cvetanovski, as a director, understood this immediately; he knew exactly what to do with it, and along with an amazing cast, has managed to create something very dark, and beautifully cinematic.”
Earlier this year, Faith No More announced plans to reissue their debut album, along with deluxe edition reissues for 1995’s King For a Day Fool For a Lifetime and 1997’s Album of the Year.
