Netflix’s original series “Stranger Things” was scored by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein (of the Austin band S U R V I V E). The soundtrack was released digitally in August 12 with a CD release arriving October 14. Now, a vinyl release has been announced for the soundtrack’s first volume. It’s available on October 28 in the U.S. via Lakeshore Records and in the UK via Geoff Barrow’s label Invada. It will be available in other territories on November 11. See the vinyl cover below.
The double LP comes in a gatefold sleeve that includes a printed insert featuring album credits and additional art. Color variant pressings will be available. Details on the vinyl release of the soundtrack’s second volume, as well as a 4xLP limited edition box set from Invada featuring both volumes of the soundtrack, will be announced “soon.”
