Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij made an appearance yesterday on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic. He premiered a couple of new tracks, including a solo number, “Gwan” (12 minutes in) and another from his new project with the Walkmen’s Hamilton Leithauser (31:13). (Their debut LP I Had a Dream That You Were Mine comes out September 23.) Listen below.
Rostam also spoke about his future with Vampire Weekend: “There are no clear lines drawn about what the future holds,” he said. “For me, it meant [being] open to doing stuff with Vampire Weekend, open to doing stuff on my own, to doing stuff with other people. I can’t tell you exactly what’s going to happen in the future, and for me, that’s something that felt necessary to do.”
