Kweku Collins follows in the footsteps of Jean Grae and Prodigy with his contribution to the soundtrack for Ta-Nehisi Coates’ revival of Marvel’s Black Panther. The new track, called “Kings,” is featured in a new video narrated by Coates for the “A Nation Under Our Feet” storyline. In a statement, Marvel’s Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso said, “Kweku Collins’ ‘Kings’ was a seamless fit for a soundtrack that cuts a swath through all the shades of hip-hop. The atmospheric backbeat perfectly reflects the moment: For T’Challa, it’s gut-check time.” Check it out below.
