The Shins have covered the Beatles’ “The Word,” taken from the Fab Four's album Rubber Soul. The cover was recorded for the upcoming Beatles-themed kids' series “Beat Bugs,” which premieres August 3 on Netflix. The show will feature Beatles covers from many prominent artists, including Sia (doing “Blackbird) and Eddie Vedder (performing “Magical Mystery Tour”). Watch the trailer featuring the Shins' cover below. The band recently announced their live return and have been teasing at new music.
