U2's The Edge Becomes First Rock Musician to Play at the Vatican's Sistine Chapel

On Saturday, U2 guitarist The Edge performed at the Vatican's Sistine Chapel. He was the first rock musician to ever perform at the Vatican, according to Reuters. The Edge was accompanied by an Irish choir, and was invited to perform for the members of Cellular Horizons, a conference on regenerative medicine that was staged at the Vatican. The acoustic set included U2's "Yahweh," "Ordinary World," and "Walk On," as well as a cover of Leonard Cohen's "If It Be Your Will." As he spoke to the audience, The Edge also alluded to Bono: "When they asked me if I wanted to become the first contemporary artist to play in the Sistine Chapel, I didn't know what to say because usually there's this other guy who sings" Below, you can watch some fan shot videos.
