Last week, M.I.A. posted lyrics to a new song on her Instagram. Today, she said on Twitter that she will give her "American label" her "last LP" this week. At the same time, she said it won't be up to her whether the record gets released, because she wouldn't be able to promote it in the United States owing to her lack of a visa. She added that she won't be able to tour without a visa. See her tweets below. M.I.A.'s last LP was 2013's Matangi.
Pitchfork has reached out to M.I.A.'s rep for further comment.
