On Friday morning, Vermont senator and Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders appeared on Hot 97's "Ebro in the Morning." On the program, he discussed a number of issues, including income inequality, the Flint, Michigan water crisis, the possibility of a Donald Trump presidency, hix tax plan, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, and more, all while rocking some red Beats by Dre headphones. He also gives thanks to one of his biggest musical supporters: "Killer Mike is doing a fantastic job for us." Watch below, via The Fader.
Many musicians have come out in support of Sanders. Yesterday, Bon Iver's Justin Vernon introduced him at an Eau Claire rally. Last week, the Thermals opened for him at a Portland rally. In January, Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig and Dirty Projectors' Dave Longstreth played at an Iowa rally. Koenig also discussed Sanders on CNN. And Killer Mike has given speeches at rallies, interviewed Sanders at length, talked about him on "Colbert," been on a panel with him about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and represented him in a post-debate spin room.
