Tonight, the first of two David Bowie tribute concerts took place at New York's Carnegie Hall. It featured Michael Stipe, the Flaming Lips, Pixies, the Mountain Goats, Cat Power, Blondie, J Mascis, Sean Ono Lennon, and more covering the late artist's songs in his honor. Cyndi Lauper and Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti opened the show with "Sufragette City." Watch more clips (including Wayne Coyne singing "Life on Mars?" on Chewbacca's shoulders) below.
The second show is at Radio City Music Hall on April 1. It's sold out, but will be available to stream for a donation to a non-profit. Find more information here.
