Just one year after Kendrick Lamar released To Pimp a Butterfly, Top Dawg Entertainment boss Anthony Tiffith is hinting that the rapper might release more music this year. He shared a prospective TDE schedule for the year, which also shows that new music from Schoolboy Q, SZA, Isaiah Rashad, and Ab-Soul are in the works.
Each artist's name is accompanied by a current status report ("sample clearance," "mixing," "4th stage creative"). Next to Lamar's name, it says, "??? (get Top on the phone)." Find it below.
They also tease a possible release in 2017 from "BH," which is likely referring to Black Hippy (Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock). Tiffith also seems to confirm two new signees, currently just listed as "John Doe 1" and "John Doe 2."
Lamar recently revealed that he has a "chamber" of unreleased songs, which he has been performing during late night TV and award show performances.
